There are lots of very good cheap hotels in Aberdeen, don't waste your money on this one. We arrived early after a difficult traveling situation. On explaining this there was no room available for early check in(which they charge you £15 for, from 12, no exceptions). This was understandable, but they also don't accept left luggage which pretty much every other hotel does, and the front of house supervisor, Monika was pretty unhelpful and rude. It was suggested that we leave our bags in an open space near reception where no one could keep an eye on them. After basically begging for a room to be made available a bit early after very difficult circumstances, she offered a family room as the only option. We had paid for a standard room plus. I asked what the difference would be(3 beds and no coffee machine apparently)and if it was possible to have a quick look at the room. Her exact words, accompanied by an eye roll, were: "either you pay or you don't pay, we don't do tours" This is a classic example of a lack of personal touch or care in a chain hotel. If you want a way better, friendlier and more personal experience in aberdeen, go to the holiday inn express or the Douglas hotel. Both are actually cheaper and they include left luggage, care, and excellent staff.

Basic as in " bring your own hair dryer" but it was clean and good for a 1 or 2 night stay. Breakfast was good.

Room was not bad, tiny heater that could be adjusted for 10 seconds before it went back to programmed temp, in other words cold. Had the meal deal, just please don't buy it, go out and eat, ordered the cheese burger, it was basically a microwaved RUSTLERS burger, and squeezey cheese with a bit of lettuce and a couple of slivers of tomato on the bottom, came with chips which seemed like they had been sitting under a hot light for 2 hours, had dessert as well, chocolate fudge cake with ice cream..........oh my god, was meant to have chocolate sauce with it but had been microwaved that much it was welded to the plate, the cake itself was also hard as it had been in the micro too long, the only decent bit was the slightly small scoop of ice cream, can't comment on the breakfast, as I was that disgusted with what was called an evening meal, that I just thought not even trying breakfast presuming most of it would have been microwaved as well......honestly, if your looking for just somewhere to put your head down for the night and can get over the smell of the corridors then yeah it's fine, other than that seriously just avoid avoid avoid. This is the second worst place I have stayed in, in my life, the first was Norbreck Castle in Blackpool, this place isn't far behind that...........seriously avoid......

First visit to travelodge Aberdeen and stayed in 402. Rooms were spotless and basic but with everything you need. Toiletries not supplied. Lovely hot shower in room but it is over bath with grab rail. The first night I found the room a little cold in middle of night so staff provided me with extra bedding. All of the staff were lovely and only too happy to assist with anything. I had the full breakfast both days and it is well worth the money and delicious. Location is perfect right off union street and only 5 mins walk from railway station. 24 hour shop directly opposite hotel. I found the hotel quiet and had great rest in super comfortable beds. Would recommend to others and will stay here myself again. Thank you to all the staff for a perfect break.

Too noisy, train sound outside traffic sounds, no double glazing glasses, I think . I won't recommend anyone to go there. Sorry...

First of all the hotel does have a lift but you have to climb some steep stairs to get into the travel lodge, so it's not ideal if your disabled. The first room had no hot water, I was moved.. 2nd room I start running a bath and ended up flooding the whole room there must have been a leak. So I pack up my stuff for the 2nd time, absolutely exhausted at this point. Soi had 3 different rooms! The staff were so unhelpful and didn't even help me move rooms! I had to trail all my stuff down to reception each time to complain and get a new room. Apart from it's central location it sucked.

Very good. Visited only for a day, so stayed here for just one night with my family. The family room was big enough to accommodate 4 people (2 adult 2 kids). My kids enjoyed. Charges were very reasonable, even Glasgow - Aberdeen train tickets for families with Railcard is pricers then the Travelodge family room price, so you can guess. Lots of good restaurants around to dine and in every budget. Overall a very good experience.

Been coming to Aberdeen at least twice a year to visit my son and his family. Travelodge has everything I need when I'm here (normally with friends too )

Very handy location for the railway station for a weekend away. Good sized clean rooms and friendly staff . Steps into building a little difficult with luggage or a pushchair .

Rooms fine with everything you need. 10 parking spaces available at an extra £10 very narrow spaces . Breakfast was terrible. Bacon, sausage, scrambled egg, beans, tomatoes and hash browns. Bacon was covered in white gunk and tastless. Sausage possibly the cheapest I've come across probably less than 38% meat Iceland sell 25 value pork sausages for £2 they are much better than the ones Travelodge serve. Egg, tastless sat in bain-marie watery Hash browns burnt.....

This is one of those "Everything was great EXCEPT" reviews, but I'll start with the good stuff. FRONT DESK STAFF: if I could give ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐, I would happily do so. They were polite, friendly, and happy to do anything they could to make our stay better. LOCATION:

It's a budget hotel, but close to the train station and downtown. A bit uphill from the station with uneven pavement, but not bad. Important note: there are no outlets near the bed, you have to charge phone etc across the room at the desk. If you have a CPAP machine, ask at the desk for an extension cord.
